Biogas Congress Conference&Expo

There are already over 500 biogas plants on Poland’s biogas map, although despite the growth in the domestic biogas market, we are still a long way behind the European leaders. What can be done to encourage the construction of more biogas plants? How can we overcome the barriers hindering market growth? How can we run effective information campaigns to raise awareness and broaden knowledge of the benefits of biogas plants? We will endeavour to answer these and other questions during the eleventh edition of the Biogas Congress Conference&Expo, which has now firmly established itself in the calendar of industry events as one of the most important opportunities for representatives of the sector from Poland and Europe to meet.

This year, the publisher of Biomasa magazine invites everyone interested in the biogas sector to the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre in Warsaw on 14–15 December 2026.

The Biogas Congress Conference&Expo is, alongside the Biomethane Congress Conference&Expo, the largest conference in Poland and one of the largest in Europe for industry representatives. The event is organised in a Conference&Expo format, meaning that the conference area will feature an extensive Expo Zone, housing stands from exhibitors offering solutions for the biogas industry.

During the 11th Biogas Congress Conference&Expo, a Local Government Zone will be organised, where representatives of towns and municipalities that have successfully implemented biogas projects – whether municipal or private – will share their experiences.

This is a great opportunity to find out first-hand what impact a biogas plant has on residents and the local environment, what benefits such a facility brings to the municipality, and what arguments can be used to persuade those who protest against biogas projects. Using specific examples, best practices for municipal biogas plants processing biowaste or sewage sludge will be presented.

Local government officials interested in biogas will be able to listen to and talk with experts who will explain how to prepare for a biogas project at the local government level.

This conference is addressed to:

  • investors planning to build new biogas plants
  • owners of operating biogas plants
  • technologists and managers of waste management and sewage treatment plants with biogas installations
  • owners of large farms and agri-food processing companies
  • fuel, transport and energy-intensive companies
  • technology and equipment suppliers
  • energy sector representatives
  • Polish and European biogas associations
  • representatives of government administration and local government officials
